We are pleased to be hosting George Elliott Clarke, Toronto’s poet laureate, at the opening reception. Clarke will briefly speak about the place of editing in creating a “spontaneous” and “organic” draft of a poem and its archival future.
A revered writer, George Elliott Clarke is poet laureate of Toronto (2012–15). A University of Toronto professor, he’s also taught at Duke, McGill, and Harvard.

The setting may be elegant, but it’s not a formal event, so you can dress up or down. The dinner menu will include a choice of vegetarian or meat entrees for $85.

Monday Morning Closing Breakfast
Join your fellow editors for a pay-as-you-go breakfast on Monday, June 9. We've reserved several tables at The Pickle Barrel (entrance on Yonge Street, just north of Dundas) from 8 AM to 10 AM. Squeeze in a little more networking over breakfast platters, smoothies, and more. Diners will receive separate bills.
