Are you editor material?

Do you have the right outlook to be an editor? Ask yourself the following questions.

  1. Do you have a burning desire to fix other people’s prose?
  2. Does the very sight of a minor grammatical error put you into a rage?
  3. Whenever you see something written do you know you could have written it better?
  4. Are you compelled to correct your friends’ grammar without being asked?
  5. Do you carry a marker to correct signs?

If you answered yes to any of these, you are almost certainly *not* editor material. James Harbeck tells us what editor material really is. Do you have what it takes?
